Ian and Janet Lowe
About us:
Ian is an Elder in the church and represents the church in leadership forums in Rochdale and further afield. Ian’s ministry gift of teaching and preaching has developed over the years. He now regularly delivers the ‘Word from the Lord’ in our Sunday services bringing direction and encouragement and is always delivered with clarity and humour!
Janet serves on the Family Central Team which is involved in various services supporting families in the community through diverse issues.
Our Role:
Ian and Janet both work full time as Pastoral Leaders for New Life. Together they serve the family of New Life faithfully and steadfastly. Their gifts of love and compassion for the lost, the lonely and the least cannot be denied. Their determination to see the vision of New Life fulfilled within the Body of Christ is both commendable and inspiring.
Janet worked as a childminder when her children were at school then worked for Rochdale Council for many years in the homeless team. She worked for a multiagency team delivering safeguarding and various family related training before taking voluntary redundancy in 2012. God was making a way so she took this opportunity to realise the vision of Family Central as an outreach service for the church.
Ian used to be an Electrical Engineer before God called him into a new sphere of work in preparation for his call as a Pastor. He worked and trained with Salford City Council and the NHS drug team working with the rehabilitation of recovering alcoholics and the homeless. At God’s appointed time Ian was able to finish his full time job and accepted the offer to work for the church along with Janet.
Our Life:
Ian and Janet have been married for over 40 years and have three grown up children. Jordan, who is married to Amy, Jess and Josh and they have one handsome grandson, Joe.
Originally from Manchester Ian and Janet started married life living in Ardwick and Gorton before moving to Milnrow in1976 where they became Christians.
Darren and Sue Mitzi
About us:
Darren joined the leadership team in 2019. He is married to Susan and they have one teenage daughter called Emelia. Along with his wife Susan they have both been associated with our church community since their youth. They are popular, well-loved and long standing members of NLCCM.
Our Role:
For many years Darren and Susan have both served the purposes of God faithfully by leading and facilitating the vision of KidzKlub where a generation of children have benefited. Their heart for mission along with their passion for discipleship, has led them to be called to work with Missionary Ventures as the UK Directors based in Rochdale. This ministry is fully supported by the New Life family and a number of members have taken the opportunity to travel on overseas mission with Missionary Ventures as a result.
Our Life:
The Mitzi family are busy people as they run a local hair salon business and have a family dog called Ollie.
